LendingMetrics and Omni Capital have been announced as joint finalists for two awards at the Credit Awards, hosted by Credit Strategy.

The two joint entry categories that the pair are finalists for are:

  • Best Outsourcing and Partnership Initiative – Onboarding and Customer Engagement
  • Best Use of Technology – Partnerships

Independently owned Point of Sale Finance Specialists, Omni Capital Retail Finance Ltd, have worked with retailers nationwide since 2009 to allow customers to spread the cost of their purchases. LendingMetrics is one of the UK’s leading providers of real-time credit risk data and analytics for credit decisioning. This wealth of data allows them to provide lenders with unrivalled intelligence and credit risk analytics, in order to assess new loan applications in real time.

Omni Capital worked with LendingMetrics to implement their multi-award-winning Auto Decision Platform (ADP), resulting in a successful migration with minimal business disruption. Omni Capital’s state-of-the-art technology provides retailers with the ability to offer finance in-store or online with credit decisions within seconds. The adoption of LendingMetrics’ ADP allows Omni Capital to benefit from instant credit decisioning and enables them to manage the update of their rules and scorecards in real time using ADP’s simple user interface.

The first version of ADP was launched in 2016, following 3 years of extensive R&D, and has since revolutionised the opportunity for the financial services sector to quickly deliver increased volume with reduced overheads using automated lending decisions. ADP utilises its proprietary data products alongside integration with all major CRAs plus many other 3rd parties.

It’s no surprise that the collaboration has resulted in the companies being shortlisted for multiple awards, as the combination of automated decisions and long industry experience delivered a highly effective and scalable solution. About the nominations, Omni Capital’s Head of Risk, Paul Hirst said: “The results of working together with LendingMetrics have been very impressive for Omni Capital, and it is fantastic for both companies to be shortlisted at the Credit Awards”.

LendingMetrics’ David Wylie said, “we are thrilled to be named as finalists in in these highly competitive categories and it is all the more special when we can share the recognition with one of our highly valued clients. Omni Capital, along with their wider group seem to be really going places and we are privileged to be able to help them in every way possible”.

The Credit Awards will be a digital broadcast event, hosted by comedian Justin Moorhouse on the 5th November. Considered to be the flagship awards in credit and financial services, the event aims to recognise and reward innovation, best practice, and the hard work of business divisions. LendingMetrics are also individual finalists for three other accolades at this year’s awards, and are previous winners of the award for ‘Best Use of Technology - Supplier’ at the 2018 event.

Whatever the outcome, the awards will surely be a momentous event celebrating the outstanding achievements across the credit and finance community.
